Why I love Butterfly Themed Fashion

People have asked why butterflies are so important to me, so I want to tell you a story.

My mother was such an important person in my life. As a disabled person, I had to have my parents take care of my personal needs. Most people take care of themselves after about 7 or 8. My mom did the majority of the care. We were close, but after I got married, we were not quite as close because of a change of care. My husband became the primary caregiver. 

As a health-minded person, my mom was relatively free of sickness. Suddenly, she started feeling bad. The cancer diagnosis she received floored us all. Though we prayed for her healing, we lost her after about 10 days. She got her healing, just not the kind we had prayed for. We believe in an all-powerful God that can do anything at any time. For a reason known only to Him, He took her home.

Our Pastor at the time took it almost as hard as we did. His way to deal with hard issues was to visit his ranch out in the country and have a long talk with God. As he was walking, a single butterfly kept pestering him. It followed him for a long time and then flew away. Although God did not give up any secrets, he felt that the butterfly was a sign from my mom that she was where she wanted to be, in the arms of Jesus. 

After this moment, my husband and I started seeing butterflies in so many places in the house we had never noticed them before. 

So now, we see butterflies as a symbol of transformation and peace, especially the peace and transformation of those who die as a follower of Jesus.
